Peels

VI Peel

Specifically formulated to rejuvenate aging skin and improve hyperpigmentation
Soften fine lines and wrinkles
Restore a more even skin tone. Smooths away rough skin texture

The VI Peel ingredients
Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) – stimulates Collagen growth, reduces pigmentation
Retin-A– softens fine lines, improves uneven tones
Salicylic Acid– exfoliates
Phenol– treats texture and pigmentation
Vitamin C– an antioxidant used to brighten the skin

The VI peel is virtually pain-free; only a slight tingling sensation is felt during the application. There is no downtime; patients can return to normal activities immediately after treatment. Post application, the peeling is light requiring a light moisturizer. VI Peel is safe for all ages and skin types, and ethnicity.

The VI Peel Process
The skin is first cleansed. The VI Peel solution is then applied to the face in layers, which will then remain on the skin for four hours. The office appointment will take about 30 minutes from start to finish. An after-care kit will be provided, and we will educate you on the best way to use these products to ensure optimal results.

During the healing process, patients should avoid sun exposure, wear a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher, and refrain from using any products not specified. The facial tissue is delicate and sensitive after a VI Peel, and not carefully following our after-care instructions can lead to further tissue damage. Makeup can be worn after the treatment, although during the three to four ‘peeling’ days, you should hold off on the application of cosmetics. Moisturizer can be used during the healing process, masking the appearance of the light, feathery peeling.

Results
Three days after your VI Peel, the skin will begin to flake. This part of the process can last from three to four days. About seven days after the peeling has finished, the final effects from your VI Peel will be visible. The skin will look luminous, smooth, and soft. For optimal results, more than one VI Peel is necessary. A series of four treatments, spaced four weeks apart, can fully rejuvenate and repair the skin, providing a youthful polished appearance.

Potential Complications from the VI Peel
Compared to other chemical treatments, the VI Peel is extremely mild, with few complications.
Side effects of the VI Peel can include mild redness, swelling, and tenderness; these will normally resolve in just a few days. Hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation (dark or light areas) may occur after the peel and may persist from a few days up to a few weeks.

The Replenix Perfect 10 Peel improves the appearance of dull and uneven skin tone and texture, fine lines and wrinkles, dark spots and sun damage, discoloration, large pores, and skin roughness. The Peel works inside out to encourage cell stimulation, support collagen production and strengthen the skin’s protective barrier to promote more youthful, healthy-looking skin.

Replenix® MD Perfect 10 Peel comes in varying strengths: Universal, Intermediate and Advanced. Universal & Intermediate are formulated for more sensitive skin patients, also for patients being peeled for the first time.
